what you should do to be successful. Besides, you will have real examples of

- But first we will correct your pronunciation. You know the words in
English have different number of syllables. That is why the words have stresses
on different syllables. Open your books at p. 95. In ex. 8 there is a list of
words having stresses on different syllables. Listen to the words and read them
after the announcer. Then read the words yourselves.

people? What qualities do they
own? Write down the list of words which
characterize a successful person. Start writing, please.
- Now in pairs share your ideas and report to
the class. Use the example in ex. 9 on p. 95. (We believe that a successful
person should be ambitious, smart, intelligent, creative, hard-working,
independent, sociable, tolerant and industrious.)
— What about you? Would you like to become a
successful person? Why? Have you got all necessary qualities? Or maybe you need
to improve something? Think about and say what traits of your character you
should develop to become a successful person. Maybe you need to get rid of some
traits of character. See the example in ex. 10, p. 96 and give a full answer.
