урока. Задачи..урока: Образовательная – знакомство с традициями и
праздниками в стране изучаемого языка, расширить словарный запас
учащихся; развитие аудио-фонемических навыков учащихся; тренировка
навыков чтения и диалогической речи; Развивающая - развивать навыки
восприятия иноязычной речи на слух; развивать память, внимание;
расширить кругозор учащихся; развитие языковой догадки.
Воспитательная - воспитание уважительного отношения к культуре стран
изучаемого языка; воспитание коммуникативной компетентности учащихся. T: Well, friends, to begin with, have a look at the blackboard, please.
Here is a puzzle for you to do. Name all the words in the pictures,
take only the first letter of each word and you will read the theme of

Hallowe’en is celebrated on the 31st of October. It is a holiday for
children in Britain. Children dressed in costumes of witches and ghosts.
People cut faces in pumpkins and put a candle inside, which shines
through the eyes. Watching "Halloween Sounds” Slide 5. "St. Valentine’s Day”
St. Valentine’s Day is celebrated on the 14th of February. On this day
many people send cards to people they love. They usually do not sign
these cards. They also send sweets and flowers. Slide 6. "Thanksgiving Day”
On this day families in the USA gather together usually in home for a
traditional dinner. They have a turkey, sweet potatoes, and a pumpkin
pie. All give thanks together for the good things they have. Slide 7. "Christmas”
Christmas is the most popular holiday. It is celebrated on the 25th of
December. People in many countries decorated Christmas tree and give
each other presents. Children put their socks on the fire-place and go
to bed. They hope that Santa Claus will come at night and bring them
presents. The special food on Christmas is pudding. People wish each

Bonfire Night on the 5th of November. It’s a very interesting night for
English children. On that night they make a bonfire and have fireworks.
Some days before Bonfire Night they make the guy. They make him of
straw and then put an old hat on his head. When the Bonfire is ready
