Форма проведения – внеклассное мероприятие

Цели: 1.систематизация лексического материала по пройденным темам;

           2.активизация страноведческих знаний;

           3.совершенствование навыков аудирования;

           4.развитие интереса учащихся к иностранному языку;

           5.развитие лингвистической догадки.

Оборудование: мультимедийная установка, микрофон

Оформление: презентация

Место проведения: актовый зал

ХОД МЕРОПРИЯТИЯ:

Teacher: Good afternoon, dear friends!  (SLIDE 1) We are glad you've come to us today. We have a contest of the cleverest and the most quick-witted. We have invited four teams to take part in our contest. Let me introduce the jury. It’s time to start!

(SLIDE 2) The first round is WARMING UP. You will get one point for each correct answer. Each team gets three questions. Get ready to answer.

QUESTIONS:

How many seasons are there in the year?

What do people usually wear in hot weather?

What do people usually buy in shoe shops?

Who works in hospitals?

Which is bigger, a bear or an elephant?

What do people usually do when they are thirsty?

Where is Trafalgar square?

What do you usually eat when you are hungry?

Can we make fish soup without fish?

What is you favourite holiday?

Who do you usually play games with?

Who usually helps you with your homework?

Teacher: Let’s sum up. The winner is the team of …

(SLIDE 3) The next round we’ve called ASSOCIATIONS. The task of this round will be the following: 1. name all the things on the screen.(5 points)

                                   2. find the odd word.(1point)

                                   3. give the main word.(1 point) You can get 7 points.

(SLIDE 13) Our next round we’ve called PRICE POINTS. The questions have different price: 10, 40, 60, 100 points. The most difficult questions you’ll find in "100 points” sector. ( 14, 15, 16, 17 – скрытые слайды)
