We read folk tales from
our childhood.It is the body of expressive culture, including oral history, proverbs, jokes,
popular beliefs, and customs. Folktales are general term for different
varieties of traditional narrative. The telling of stories appears to be a
cultural universal, common to basic and complex societies alike.
